Front line power needs are constantly mobile, demanding rugged and dependable power sources that can operate rain or shine in arctic colds and the desert heat. Power sources need to be practical by providing uninterrupted electricity with existing fuel sources and supply chains for immediate use, while also providing options for meeting political pressures for lower carbon footprints.

Fuel Flexibility: The unusual operating temperature of SAFCs enables a variety of fuels to be directly reacted (not burned) in our systems, such as diesel, natural gas, ammonia, methylcyclohexane, and methanol. Liquid fuels can leverage the existing infrastructure, transportation, and storage methods, and don’t pose the same battlefield risk of alternative fuel cells that require compressed hydrogen gas.

Fuel Efficiency : SAFCs operate at higher efficiencies relative to combustion engines, providing more electrical power per gallon consumed.

Its small size and virtually silent operation makes it inconspicuous for highly remote or covert surveillance applications. It can run continuously off the grid for up to two weeks with a single BBQ propane fuel canister. Because it’s a solid state fuel cell with minimal moving parts, it requires minimal trips for servicing.
