The problem
For critical applications requiring 100% uptime, diesel and battery-powered generators have most commonly been used to provide backup power. In remote or environmentally sensitive environments and harsh weather conditions, however, the disadvantages of combustion generators become more pronounced. Infrastructure and maintenance costs increase. Reliability is tested.
Our solution
SAFCell’s solid state fuel cells, with no moving parts, require much less maintenance than mechanical generators. They are virtually silent and, with zero emissions, can be installed in environmentally-sensitive locations. And they’ve been tested successfully in conditions ranging from Canadian winters to Texas summers. SAFCell fuel cell stacks are also modular and flexible, letting you customize the solution according to your power requirements.
